DOH-SANTA ROSA COVID-19 TEST SITE AT MIDWAY RELOCATES

By DOH-Santa Rosa

July 14, 2020

Milton, FL - Beginning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, July 16, the Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County (DOH-Santa Rosa) COVID-19 drive-in testing site at the Midway location will move to the Community Life United Methodist Church, 4115 SoundsideDrive in Gulf Breeze. Hours of operation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Testing will be offered on a first come, first served basis, with no pre-screening or appointment required. Those requesting testing are asked to bring identification and be aware that wait times may vary depending on the number of individuals requesting a test.

"We were seeing more vehicles than expected come through the site at our satellite location in Midway, so for safety reasons, we felt it was necessary to find a site where traffic wouldn't block access to residential areas," said Sandra Park-O'Hara, DOH-Santa Rosa administrator.

Drive-in testing will also continue on Wednesdays at the Milton Community Center at 5629 Byrom Street in Milton from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

It is not necessary to call the health department when arriving at either testing site. DOH-Santa Rosa staff will be on site to direct traffic at both locations.

The DOH-Santa Rosa COVID-19 Call Center is still accepting calls at 850-564-2307. Other services, including WIC and Dental, are available by appointment at both DOH-Santa Rosa locations. To make an appointment, or for additional information about available services, call 850-983-5200.
