Navarre, FL - The Holley-Navarre Water System (HNWS) has issued a precautionary boil water notice for Navarre Beach Camping Resort, Buckley Drive, Blankenship Road, and the Riviera Beach Subdivision. This notice is in response to a reported 4-inch break that occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 98 and Riviera Beach Lane.

As a precaution, residents and businesses that were without water are being advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, bathing, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of at least one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. This process routinely takes 48 hours.  Precautionary boil water notices are issued as a part of standard protocol following any loss of water pressure.

HNWS crews completed repairs at 8:30 a.m. Residents are advised that there is a possibility of discolored water as a result of the outage, and to flush their home’s plumbing by running their taps for a few minutes.
